On her way home, Riddhima came across a stranger who seemed to be arrogant as well as kind-hearted. Next day the doctors have gathered in the auditorium where normally every month the intern of the month is announced, but today Dr. Shashank has to announce the doctor who has to be removed from Sanjeevani, something which he is finding very difficult to do. The stranger who Riddhima met the previous night walks in and tells Dr. Shashank he will do the honours, introducing himself as Dr. Abhimanyu Modi, new head of Sanjeevani.
